She became a legend throughout the Spacer worlds but was forgotten on Earth. Susan Calvin (1982-2064 AD) was the first and chief robopsychologist at US Robots and Mechanical Men, Inc., posited as the major manufacturer of robots on Earth in the 21st century. It was all quite ridiculous and quite useless. The labor unions, of course, naturally opposed robot competition for human jobs, and various segments of religious opinion had their superstitious objections.
